How to Renew a License

Renewing a license enables your software to continue to operate beyond the current expiry date. The renewal process consists of replacing your existing license file with a new license file. Ensure that you update the license file before your annual renewal date to ensure continued operation of subscription licenses. Your new license file will work with your existing installed software. There is no need to upgrade software versions when renewing the license file.

1. Wait for invoicing. Once your renewal has been invoiced, the license records in the system is updated automatically, and the line display shows the new license dates.

2. On MyDelta left navigation panel, click License Manager. A table of all purchases available for you appears. You can expand each item to display the individual line items underneath each purchase.

3. View each activated system along with the Host ID previously chosen for that system.

4. For every system listed, Download the license file. This regenerates the license file with the updated dates and downloads it.

   • Note: If you download licenses for multiple systems in the same session, your browser may rename some files or append a suffix (e.g., (1)) to avoid overwriting duplicates.

5. Identify the correct file for each system. Since filenames may have changed, match each downloaded file to its target system using one of the following:

   • The Host ID currently activated on that system, or

   • The System ID found in the comment line inside the license file itself.

6. Rename files if necessary. Ensure each license file has its correct, original filename before installing it.

7. Install each license file. Copy the correctly named file to the appropriate system, replacing the existing license file there.

8. Repeat for all systems until every system's license file has been downloaded, verified, and reinstalled with the new renewal dates.
