Getting Started with DeltaNova

MyDelta Portal

MyDelta, DeltaXignia's customer portal, provides a centralised platform for customers to manage DeltaXignia software licences and access product downloads. The portal enables users to view licence information, monitor entitlements, and download the latest versions of DeltaXignia products quickly and securely.

Installing DeltaNova Prerequisites

JAVA API and REST API

DeltaNova is written in pure Java, so the only software requirement is to install a Java runtime (and SDK to use the Java API) version 17 or greater, 64-bit.

There are no specific hardware requirements. However, we recommend a system with a minimum of 8 Gigabytes of RAM installed.

License Server

For detailed documentation on FlexNet licensing, see FlexNet Publisher License Administration Guide (LAG).

To set up a license server you first need to select a machine to use as a server. See the Selecting a License Server Machine section. Once you have chosen a platform, download the correct license server zip file for your server platform. We provide daemon tools for the following platforms:

  • Microsoft Windows 64-bit

  • Linux 64-bit with LSB-core support (including RedHat Enterprise and CentOS)

  • MacOS (Both Intel and ARM)

Download DeltaNova

The product can be downloaded from the Downloads section of MyDelta along with the license servers.

What's in the Release

The release contains:

  • The deltanova-year.x.y.z.jar - our latest API libarary providing a high-performance and feature-rich compare, merge and check solution using Java pre-compiled or XSLT filters and providing support for Saxon's interfaces.

  • The deltanova-year.x.y.z.jar which acts as a command line processor which can be used to perform compare, merge and check operations.

  • deltanova-rest-year.x.y.z.jar* - DeltaNova's REST API. To learn more about its use, see REST User Guide.

  • The deltanova-rest-client-year.x.y.z.jar* which is the command-line interface/driver for the REST API (no programming required).

*where 'x.y.z' is the major.minor.patch version, e.g. '2026.1.1.0'

The REST API is licensed separately and is not yet intended for use in a Software-As-A-Service model.

Samples

The samples directory in the release contains:

  • A number of XSLT filters (samples/xsl-filters), described in the Guide to Sample XSL Filters.

  • check, compare and merge directories in samples contains samples files along with configuration files such DXP, DCP, DTCP. These are useful starting points for developing custom pipelines.

  • For DCP validation, the samples/dcp directory contains XML Schemas for DCP (XSD v1.0 and v1.1), and copies of the DCP configuration files available in the GUI and command-line processor.

  • For DTCP validation, the samples/dtcp directory contains XML Schemas for DTCP (XSD v1.0 and v1.1), plus copies of the DTCP configuration files available in the GUI and command-line processor.

  • Each directory also contains XSDs and DTDs for validation. The XSDs are self-documenting schemas and provide auto code completion if referenced from the configurations.

Main Depedencies

saxon-pe-12.4

The saxon-pe-12.4.jar jar file is required when using the package and the client applications. saxon-pe-12.4.jar is distributed with DeltaNova. Saxon versions before 12.4 will not work with DeltaNova due to API incompatibilities.

The saxon-pe-12.4.jar file is recommended for use with the JAVA API package by including it in your classpath, but alternative implementations can be used on the classpath or with JAXP TransformerFactory methods.

flexlm.jar, EccpressoAll.jar

The flexlm.jar, EccpressoAll.jar files are required for the Flexera-based licensing capabilities. They must always be included in the classpath.
